Vallarta supermarket mexican food in Tulare

Cashier was unhelpful unfriendly made me and my wife bag our own grocies and felt racially profiled.When brought to mangers attention. The lady was just laughing.we stop in a few times a month.Now we dont if the place falls into the ocean.NEVER GET OUR BUSSINESS AGAIN.And i will tell everyone i know

One manger honors a rain check and even over ride the charge and in the middle of paying for my purchase another manger came and said the store will not horor the rain check cause it was it had expired. After all that I decided to purchase one item and after paying for it they did give it to us the second manger was taking it back to the meat department.very poor customer service I am going to shop else where. Now its time to find a new store to shop at on Wednesday and Thursday. It suck I enjoyed talking and asking for help from most of there employee oh will what can I say

I love how this place makes fresh corn tortillas everyday but wish they would have enough for those who shop at night to buy some. I also love their tamales, so far they are the best in town. The meat selection is pretty good, the prices could be a little cheaper & the chicken could be cleaned from feathers a little better than they are. I also wish they wouldn't of changed their prices on the sweet breads (a little to costly now) but I still love to treat my kid's to some sweet bread every now & then.

The food used to be good..Chicken was burned and salty and their bread taste like it was expired!

This bakery is okay.... one on Clinton and 99 is wayyyyy better.

I found a worm in my food. I was told it was from the cilantro but it looked like a maggot.

I recently pre-ordered chocolate covered strawberries for my daughter's 1st birthday and I was so disappointed. My order was to be done by noon. When my husband went to pick them up, they tell him it's going to be two hours because they hadn't even started them yet. I paid about $65 dollars for 36 so I expected to not be let down. When my husband went to pick them back up at 3:30 PM, they were so sloppy. I would have preferred them to tell me they were over-booked rather than pay so much for a result that wasn't worth the money I paid. I will not be ordering anything from Tulare's Vallarta bakery again.

I always like shopping there they always have great deals. And they also have good food. The cashiers are always nice to me when I come in But lately I don’t know who put these girls cristal and ana as managers they look at you like your low when you need help and walk away. There attitudes are horrible. I hope they do something about them.

The service is great. Everyone is very friendly and they have a lot of produce to choose from and hot sauce. Lol They do need to improve the wait with the cashiers. They need more cashiers.

The food is bomb hella good though the thing is that this past Tuesday I went with the wife to go eat and what disgusted me was that as was on my last bite of my taco de carnitas I looked over to where they make tortillas. This dude that took over for the girl drops the tortilla on the ground for a good minute or longer then picks it back up and puts it back in with the rest of the tortillas for it to be bagged up. And continued to stack them tortillas with the same glove he touch the ground with. I got video if you all want to see it ..... sick minded person for that. So if you eat a taco with dirt you'll know why........

Tortillas are great. But employed always seems to busy to help they need night crew.

It was supposed to be open for senior citizens, handicapped and pregnant women from 7-8 but there were many young people shopping as well. People that do that have no regard for others.

Love the store love the food but prices on boxed and frozen items are high ..

Bad service with the cashier specially this girl name marisol she’s ringing us up and she’s talking on the phone the whole time , I keep asking her for bags so I can put my stuff she gives me one till she’s done talking in the phone and she’s still mad, I’m like hello!! I need more than one bag , ur working ur getting paid and ur on the phone !! Come on people ! . U guys really need to pay more attention to ur stuff , I love going to ur store but ur personal is not good

Wow! This supermarket is always super clean and their employees are always in uniform. It's a great place to shop at and eat. They have a variety of options! I particularly love their tacos and their taco condiment station. They have popusas and can buy trays of beans & rice. I was a bit disappointed with their burritos and the chilaquiles. The meat in the burritos is too think and I'm not a fan of the flour tortillas they use for their burritos. Their chilaquiles are not made authentically. Overall, it's a great supermarket.

Ice cream and aguas frescas was great, but the services in the food area wasn't that good. They sales me something they don't have anymore, they don't even have rice. The food was average taste.

While the regular parts of this supermarket can be expensive and thinly stocked, they more than make up for it with the carniceria, fresh pastry shop, fresh fruits island, homemade salsas & guacamole, and their extremely authentic Mexican food restaurant that is filled with homemade favorite dishes.

BAKERY IS EXCELLENT....SOME WORKERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND SOME AINT , OH WELL WE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH OR GOING THROUGH IN THEIR LIVES!!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD!!!! WE GIVE GRACE AND WE GET IT BACK!!!! GREAT STORE AND GREAT DEALS!!!

Bomb place for hot serve food & your hard to find Mexican commodities & groceries. Plus the ladies that work there are gorgeous, no doubt!

This place is amazing! If I had one close to my house it's the only place I'd ever shop. The lunches we ordered were perfectly delicious, the deli is fresh & varied (try the camarón ceviche!), the fruit fresher than anywhere else in Tulare, the staff helpful & cheerful! It was like Disneyland, only less rides & more tortilla warmers.

The service at the taqueria was horrible. My family and I were waiting on our food for 30 minutes only to find out they never started making our order. The food was not great.

Good store, bad service. Avoid cristal and ana like somebody mentioned here, these 2 cashiers shouldnt be allowed to work retail.. nd their managers jovana and selena are really rude too, they need some retraining

It has been more than once that I have had a very bad experience at the Vallarta Supermarket in Tulare. The prices that were offered was not what was given at checkout. The cashier was extremely rude and so was the manager. I prefer to go to another grocery store and spend more money than to have to be insulted by lack of customer service and integrity.

The only reason I put one star was because to post this I had to. But in the past when purchased meat from Vallarta it did not look so good but I would still cook it but today is the LAST TIME I get anything from that store. I purchased meat on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 put it in the freezer and took it out this morning to thaw (Friday, June 12th). As I began to get it ready for cooking I right away got a nasty smell. This thing cost me $32.00 and so normally I would just get rid of it. I threw my receipt away so I could not return my item or get my money back. But this review was not going to go unheard of. So I went to purchased some real meat from Palace Food Depot if I could post the pictures you could notice the big difference.

Don't get me wrong! I love this store it's my favorite when I go get my groceries, they have Hispanic as well as non Hispanic items and that's what I love about them BUT lately for some reason even though I be spending 200 to 300 dollars every two weeks they don't bag ANYTHING even if I pay for the bags! VALLARTA IN MY OPINION YOU NEED TO AT LEAST GIVE FREE BAGS FOR CUSTUMERS LIKE MYSELF AND HAVE A PERSON BAGGING ITEMS. please and thank you!🤗

this store is awesomely awesome, i had amassive stroke with paralysis, and i take a nice scooter in there, big open spaced store, employees friendly and helpful, the girls at the self check always help me out, aannd they have a lottery machine you can get your mega, powerball and scratchers by inserting your monet and pressing a button, it does not give back change, so if ya insert a 20 iyou have to get 20 bucks worth of tickets remember that, always a pleasant experience here at vallarta

Before the covid 19 "i loved this store and everyone was so nice ' but it wasn't that way today :( 'were all under stress but putting it on someone else and causing them stress isn't good 🤭
